We are back for the new year and now into our 112 year! With this, we have the title of being one of the oldest non-military pipe bands in the country.
It was formed in 1898 by a Mr. George Brown (a Tailor) and Mr. Robert Campbell (a Baker/confectioner). The band began its life in what was then the Presbyterian Church in Blackwater Road Eastbourne. read more on the Band History page...

Formed in 1898 wearing the Hunting Stewart tartan, the ESPB is a traditional, non-competitive band led by Pipe Major Andy Gregory ably assisted by Drum Major Bill Donoghue. 112 Years for the band!
Congratulations to ESPB’s Alex Summers
Alex Summers will be enjoying his 40th year in the band this year. He joined the band on the 13 Feb 1970. At last years AGM he was presented the Founders Trophy to congratulate him on
his long and dedicated service to the band, which was the first year it has been presented.
